A teacher has to perform many different tasks. A teacher must:

• Make sure they have a lesson plan for every class every day
• Make sure they have all of the materials ready each day (worksheets, etc)
• Grade all of their students' work
• Make time to help students before or after school

Salary

In LAUSD, a beginning teacher earns about $50,000 per year. After many years of experience, teachers can earn $80,000 annually or more. Teachers who have a master's degree or a doctoral degree earn more money too.

How teachers use computer science skills

Teachers use skills like critical thinking and problem solving every day. Teachers have to think on their feet in their classrooms when they are teaching and interacting with their students. Also, teachesr have to be creative when creating their lesson plans. Finally, teachers use computers and other technology in their lesson plans.
